I was getting sick of looking at the “standardization” of the web. I miss the oneiric landscape of web 1.0 where every site was a new dungeon to explore and loot, and at the end of it, you find yourself staring at a bunch of new tunnels, links to explore.
Every single one of those wired, noisy, mysterious caves has something to offer even to the most veteran explorers. A chain of worlds, with their own webmasters, faiths, rules and expressions. Some of them are quiet places, others are noisy, but all of them have a unique soul.
Now, for most people the internet is just 4 or 5 apps on their phones. Every post must have a limited amount of characters to meet the feed requirements and satisfy the algorithm agenda. Everything is minimalist, standardized and boring. Any content must fit into their design system. All content is born as dead content. The Dead Internet is upon us.
The Web Revival is the answer. Join the resistance, become a webmaster and create your own realm, your own utopia. Your only limitation should be time and imagination.
Consistency is a limitation and professionalism is a disaster. Adventures start where the cracks in normality begin. Internet was made by people, for people. not by corporations for targeted ads. We are all pixels in the eyes of eternety
here are some corners of the web worth visiting — sites that scream with personality, creativity, and soul.
